Head Tennis Pro - Guy Gebbia

A highly motivated and resourceful individual, Guy Gebbia combines an intense work ethic with principles of team building and a focus on meeting objectives. Born and raised in Nyack, NY, Guy was a three time Rockland County Men's Singles Champion. He was the number one singles and doubles player for Fordham University, where he was the recipient of the Vincent T. Lombardi award, which honors the school's most outstanding male athlete of the year.

Guy started his teaching career as the assistant at the Nyack Field Club and has successfully worked with all ages, coaching at the collegiate, high school and middle school levels. In addition, he has coached in both men's and women's USTA leagues. As the head tennis pro at Rustic Brook Swim and Tennis Club, Guy ran a successful junior tennis camp for six years. He continued his teaching as the Director of Tennis for Rockland Country Club and Lifeplex Health and Tennis Club. Guy is currently in his 16th year as a teaching professional. 

 

Assistant Tennis Pro - Vlad Damian
Before coming to America, Vlad was one of the top-ranked (Top 10 between ages 12 and 16) junior players in his native Romania, one of the most competitive tennis nations in the world. His great personality makes him a natural at working with both kids and adults. He's been a popular teacher in Rockland County for more than seven years. 




Assistant Tennis Pro - Lauren Cash
Lauren Cash is back for her second season as a tennis pro at Dellwood.  Lauren grew up playing competitive tennis since the age of seven.  She was ranked as high as #32 in the country in the Girls 18's as well as #1 in the East in Girls 14's and 18's.  She ended her high school career with a 95-1 record with honors including First-team All-Bergen County, All-League and All-State, as well as, three-time player of the year.  After high school, Lauren obtained a full Division I tennis scholarship to Boston College.  At Boston College, Lauren was ranked as high as #6 in the East Region and #108 nationally. With her doubles partner, they reached a ranking of #38 in the country. Recently, Lauren was named the female tennis player of the DECADE in New Jersey.  Along with her tennis accomplishments, Lauren earned a degree in Human Development.



     
 Tennis Assistant - Dominique Ligouri
Dominique Ligouri will be helping to teach and organize the adult and children's tennis programs throughout the spring and summer. Dominique was a top junior tennis player with an eastern ranking as high as #2 and a national ranking as high as #44. At Fordham University she played #1 singles and doubles all four years, with 2 undefeated seasons, only one dual-match loss, First Team Atlantic 10 Honors, and an overall record of 57-4. She had an ITA Eastern ranking of #8 and a national ranking of #125. Dominique was awarded Fordham University's Claire and Jack Hobbs Award for the 2009 Female Athlete of the Year, in addition to her four MVP awards. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Dominique has competed in several USTA Women's National events and is recipient of 3 national silver balls in singles and 1 national bronze ball in doubles. She has taught tennis throughout Westchester County at Willow Ridge Country Club, Bronxville Field Club, The Saw Mill Club, and Pelham Country Club. She has also been volunteer assistant to Fordham University's Women's Tennis Coach.
